Copy Right

Description

Originally, I wasn't planning to upload this. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized I had to submit it. This is a photo taken at the Art Institute of Chicago. I was walking through the different exhibits when I heard an employee explaining to a group of students what "copyright" meant. The employee explained that everything on display was not to be copied by anyone because these were "priceless originals". As I looked over her shoulder, I noticed an art class working on "realistic interpretation". Their assignment was to duplicate a masterpiece; to complete the assignment with the most realistic copy. So naturally they are trying to "copy right". What a great name for it. ;)

The lady with her back to me wouldn't let me shoot her "copying" the artwork. I sent her to the corner for a time-out.

*cracking myself up*

Nikon 5700. Flourescent white balance. Slight intentional blur.

This is an interesting shot. It's sort of weird to look at without the description. Like they're taking notes from the painting like it's the teacher. Very cool.
